Our motto
“There is always hope!” came from Charles and Nancy Brown.
Our logo was
created by Jeremy Ralston from a portrait of Zach done by artist Katie
Wadsworth, a high school senior in Virginia. She is a relative of Zach’s
family.
Our story
began with a yellow lab named Zach, who was visiting from another state and
became lost. Community members came together to assist in his recovery,
although there was a tragic ending to his story.
Our hopes
are that each township in Bucks County utilize our free tools and create a
volunteer pool comprised of township residents who may assist their own
residents in this initiative. Bensalem Township’s Safety Director, Fred
Harran has been kind enough to pilot this program for us and we hope other
townships follow his lead and model.
We have remained united in our desire
to honor Zach, by creating a lost and found pet initiative as a free community
to the residents of Bucks County in the hopes of reuniting lost
pets with their grieving families.
We have just
launched our website with an enhanced lost
and found classified database where both lost and found pets
can be posted with the ability to search for existing lost and found pets. This
is an integral part of our website along with upcoming aspects to further our
goals. Please check back for future updates.
If you are a
township official, animal control officer, veterinarian’s office staff, animal
emergency center staff, animal shelter, animal rescue group or pet supply store
staff and wish to be put on our free automatic email alert notification when a
lost or found report is filed, please contact us via email at
